Alkali has released its high-quality, low-cost Fire line, which is brand new for 2023. The Fire 2 skates are designed to take explosiveness and durability to a whole new level for players seeking ultimate performance.
The one-piece composite boot of the Fire 2 is far superior to two-piece boots. It is lighter, transfers energy more efficiently, and provides an incredible fit that's ready to use straight out of the box. By utilizing a stiff pro-carbon composite, the Fire 2 allows for better energy transfer and responsiveness with every step, enabling faster starts and tighter corners.
The medium volume fit profile of the Fire 2 accommodates a standard forefoot width and the overall most common internal volume. The skates are equipped with Single Xena Indoor 76A Wheels, where the high hardness urethane anchor ensures incredible rebound for maximum speed, and the outer layer of low-hardness urethane provides ultimate grip.
The Fire 2 features mABEC 9 pre-lubricated standard 608 speed bearings. Unlike the other Fire models, the Fire 2 has a straight chassis. Sizes 3-5 are equipped with 76mm wheels, while sizes 6-13 have 80mm wheels.
The Fire 2 boasts an Aluminum 6500 CNC frame chassis for comprehensive control, with copper rivets. The skates are also heat mouldable, which shortens the shrinkage time and ensures a highly customized fit around the user's foot.
One of the special features of the traditional Alkali lines is that the Fire line is available in an "E" width, slightly wider than the traditional normal "D" or "R" width. It is recommended to choose a size below the shoe size to get the appropriate ice skate size. For example, if you have a shoe size of 5, you should choose a size 4 ice skate.
